The Broad museum, designed by Diller Scofidio + Renfro is a recently complete contemporary art museum in downtown Los Angeles.

Shaw & Sons provided the honed and polished custom Type II/III/V cement concrete slabs for the first, second and third floors of the museum. Special procedures and surface seeded sand give the floors a consistent evenly polished floor with floor flatness values greater than 75 on average, many of the completed floors reached FF 120, exceeding the specified values of FF 50. Shaw and Sons also provided the exterior front entry hardscape from the building line to the back of the city walks.
