Designed by William Pereira and originally built in 1973, the Pacific Life HQ in Newport Beach, CA recently underwent extensive improvements to the plaza.

Gensler utilized four integral colors to create interest and banding in the plaza.  The sands in the paving were exposed using surface retarder.  The graphite colored walls were a seamless combination of shotcrete and cast-in-place.
