Shaw & Sons proudly contributed to the landmark LAX/Metro Transit Center project, a vital transportation hub connecting travelers to the greater Los Angeles area.  Our scope included custom architectural concrete paving to meet both aesthetic and performance standards.  One paving type utlized white cement seeded with mother of pearl shell, yellow glass, and mirror aggregate with a non-slip ground finish to create a luminous, high-end surface.  Another finish featured surface seeded granite sand, offering durability and natural texture. For the B Permit work, we implemented the City of Los Angeles approved natural gray light wash finish. Built for longevity and public use, the concrete work blends durability with refined design -- supporting the station's role as a modern gateway to the city.
