The stadium "canyons" are large terraced cast-in-place planters.  Shaw collaborated with Studio-MLA to create five custom wall finishes varying in texture, materials, and integral color to simulate sedimentary layers as you descend to the field.  Lighter color and textures have gradual shifts going down in elevation with the darkest and roughest walls at the bottom of the canyon.
