Paul Getty Museum in Malibu, Sherman Oaks Galleria and the new home of the Academy Awards "Kodak Theater" at Hollywood and Highland.

REPUTATION IS LONG-TERM VALUE

Shaw & Sons has developed a reputation over the past 50 plus years of striving for perfection. From setting 1400 lb. base plate templates on high rise buildings to simplistic cast-in-place concrete walls, to sawcut patterns in hardscape paving. All display an "accuracy" that is accomplished by delivering each project in a systematic step-by-step process to ensure that the design intent, both structurally and aesthetically, is fulfilled or exceeded. Building with such a methodical approach brings an assurance that each piece is installed properly and therefore remains uncompromised over time. Ownership receives the best long-term value. This is what we strive for. This is our reputation.

INNOVATION AND CREATIVITY

Ron and Lee Shaw (our President and CEO) have developed a specialized patented screeding system for construction on high rise buildings and a nationally recognized patented paving system known as "Lithocrete®." While costing less and providing durability, Lithocrete® is increasing in popularity as a breakthrough paving material. It offers project owners the look of fine quarried stone, with the benefits of reinforced structural concrete.

Ron and Lee are also the inventors and creators of "Speed Dowel™," a world wide product used for efficiently doweling warehouse type slabs together. Speed Dowels are also widely used throughout many acres of hardscape paving and super flat concrete slabs such as the massive new shuttle pad at Cape Canaveral.

SAFETY THROUGH INNOVATION

Our patented high-rise deck pour system is not only cost efficient, but it also governs the proper net thickness and load yields floor after floor, resulting in a safer building.

Lithocrete® - Our patented Lithocrete® hardscape paving system has a near perfect slip co-efficiency and always retains an easy walking surface as compared with other competitive finishes.

Speed Dowels™ - Our world renown speed doweling system works year after year to prevent vertical concrete displace- ment or the typical "tripping" hazards found with non-doweled concrete. It also reduces physical labor (and worker's comp insurance claims) with a simple part. Speed Dowel was designed by Ron and Lee Shaw with safety in mind.

SAFETY

Past, Present, and Future - Over the past fifty years Shaw & Sons has had a stellar safety record; the company has never experienced serious injury to an employee or loss of life.

Aside from having equipment regularly serviced and in excellent condition, every Shaw employee has carte blanch to purchase to replace, any damaged power, pneumatic or hand tools and related items along with new items such as respirators, eye protection, hardhats, safety vests etc. with no questions asked.

Our foremen are all CPR and First Aid certified along with Respiratory Protection, OSHA, Highreach and Forklift certifications. Safety Inspections, Hazard Assessment and Tool Box Safety talks are also a big part of Shaw & Sons weekly regimen in order to keep safety #1 in our employees' minds. Our people not only watch out for public safety but also for all jobsite personnel as well.
